Keeping a living art alive

We exist to keep a living art alive, and to make sure the people who keep it alive are seen, named and fairly paid.

Art that endures

Madhubani has survived floods, migration and the pull of mass production, but it endures only as long as there are hands willing to practise it and a market willing to value it. Every hand-painted piece you choose keeps those hands busy and that knowledge alive.

Artisans at the centre

We work with 15 artisan families in and around Muzaffarpur, most of them women. For many, it is the first time their work is sold directly, with their name attached and a fair share of the price in their hands. A meaningful portion of every rupee goes straight back to the artist's household. This isn't charity; it's what commerce should always have looked like.

Slow, by choice

We release small, limited collections because handwork cannot be hurried, and because the world already has enough disposable clothing. We would rather make fewer pieces that are treasured for years.
