From blank cloth to living art

Each kurta takes three to five days to complete by a single artisan.

  1. Fabric SelectionHandloom cotton or silk from Bihari weavers, pre-washed and sun-dried to accept natural pigments evenly.
  2. Charcoal SketchThe outline is drawn freehand from memory. No templates, no stencils.
  3. Dye FillColour is applied layer by layer, giving Madhubani its impossible depth.
  4. Sun CureLaid in direct sunlight for 24 hours so the pigments bond, wash-fast and colour-fast, with no chemical fixatives.
  5. QC & DispatchInspected, ironed on the reverse, and packed with the artisan's handwritten certificate.
